Malaysia is 180 years backwards.

Tidak logik banding kemenangan Obama

PUTRAJAYA 7 Nov.

Last year's countdown.

I know it's September already. Rofl. But anyways, continuing from

Story goes like this, I was resting under the Imbi station, you know, the one right outside Times Square (yes, resting, under, station.). It was about 3 a.m in the morning, I wanted to test the capabilities of my Canon S3IS in low light condition.

Set the ISO to 800 and started snapping pictures of my surrounding without flash. Then, A GRAND IDEA STRUCK ME.

I COULD BE A SPY WITH MY 12X OPTICAL ZOOM. Taking pictures of unsuspecting victims uh... unsuspecting victims? uh.... PEOPLE at night. Yep.

So I looked around and saw this woman walking out from Times Square, and the guy following her shortly after. The woman stopped at the corner of the road. The guy came over and muttered something.

SPY MODE KICKED IN.

Through the camera I saw the woman gestured a five using her hand.

I JUST HAD TO TAKE THE PICTURE.

The guy shaked his head and walked back heading times square. The woman flagged down a taxi and went the other direction. Feeling disappointed due to the lack of action I turned off the camera and tried to get some rest on the stairs of Imbi station.

At 5 a.m I reviewed my pictures, all of them, starting at those I took at 4 p.m the previous day, just before the station was open, I looked at the final picture I took.

"Something is not right."
"Something's lacking"

Sleep deprivation messes with your brain.

"Right shoulder black, left shoulder black.. not quite. Red right, left tits."
"Tits?"
*Zooms*
"TITS!"

rofl.

Back to the topic.

2008 Countdown.

Didn't take much pictures worth showing, cause it was full with the fireworks display that simply ROXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX-ed!

It's better to go out and take pictures alone. :) Or with people with similar interest.

But it's not that I regretted going out with a gang last countdown though :)

HEHE.

Merdeka.

IMHO, the US celebrate their independence with pride cause it was the formation of a free country, which gives them the freedom of speech, the freedom of everythingelseetcetc.

Malaysia celebrates independence because we were finally free of white people after 500 years, and how BN/UMNO/MCA/MIC has ensured racial harmony with the social contract.

US Independence day = Freedom
Mal Independence day = Social contract

Even after 51 years we're still talking about racial harmony, but fact is, it has degraded way more compared to 51 years ago.

Miss World Malaysia.

Malaysia's beauty pageant. Or is it? I'm not trying to be rude, but it does seem that Malaysia's really screwed.

We don't even have pretty girls anymore.

The perfect man and women.

Once upon a time, a perfect man and a perfect woman met. After a perfect courtship, they had a perfect wedding. Their life together was, of course, perfect. One snowy, stormy Christmas Eve, this perfect couple was driving their perfect car (a Grand Caravan) along a winding road, when they noticed someone at the side of the road in distress. Being the perfect couple, they stopped to help. There stood Santa Claus with a huge bundle of toys. Not wanting to disappoint any children on the eve of Christmas, the perfect couple loaded Santa and his toys into their vehicle. Soon they were driving along delivering toys. Unfortunately, the driving conditions deteriorated and the perfect couple and Santa Claus had an accident. Only one of them survived the accident. The mind numbing question is: Who was the survivor?

Scroll down for the answer...

The perfect woman survived. She's the only one who really existed in the first place. Everyone knows there is no Santa Claus and there is no such thing as a perfect man. Women stop reading here. That is the end of the joke.

Men keep'a scrollin'...

So, if there is no perfect man and no Santa Claus, the perfect woman must have been driving. And that explains why there was a car accident. By the way, if you're a woman and you're reading this, this illustrates another point: Women never listen, either.

Kepala Batas.

Hello ladies and gents.

I'm currently in Kepala Batas undergoing industrial training in the advance medical and dental institute. Haven't did any real training so far as they've decided that we should be introduced to the different labs before we start our attachment in the cytogenetic or microb lab for 3 weeks each.

Driving here was tiring, lucky for me, I convinced my parents not to tag along, otherwise it'll be another 1 hour round trip to Butterworth to send them off on the bus back to klang.

The first day of arrival was full of incidents itself, we arrived, gathered after the toll and headed off to the house we rented met the house owner and settled down. It's has 3 rooms, 1 attached bathroom to the master and another bath outside. Unfortunately one room was leaky and it wasn't in any condition to stay in, so we converted it into the stor, the 3 guys share a room and the other 2 girls took the smaller room. Neoh Hun decided to sleep in the living on the first night itself, so there's only 2 people sleeping in the master room.

After cleaning up Xue You came around from butterworth, he showed us the way to carrefour and got other stuffs that we weren't able to bring along with us. He also showed us around Butterworth, Megamall in Butterworth, Sunway Carnival and his home, a temple that was supposingly the prettiest temple in the westcoast. I'll post some pictures below and some place to have nice food in Butterworth.

Oh, forgot to mention that I did all the driving, following Xue You's car, and managed to find our way back home in spite of being new there. Fuyooohhhh.

Phew, that's only the first day of arrival.

On the first day of work, we found out that work only starts at 0810 and the office is less than 5 minutes drive from the house. So on the 2nd day of work, we went to work at 0800. HAHAHA.. so convinient.

On the first day of work we were introduced to the Histopathology lab after safety briefing and general introduction of Advance Medical & Dental Institute. Booooring.. we ended everything at 1000, and there was nothing else to do other than sitting around.

Day 2 was more interesting, we were introduced to the Hematology lab where we did some hands on preparing blood smear slides for FBP (Full Blood Picture) and view it under the microscope to analyze the different cells, and later we talked to one of the master students studying over there and he introduced to us a RT-PCR, something that we've not seen in UM and query him about future prospects.

Today is day 3, where we were attached to the Chemical Pathology, there wasn't much to learn here but to watch a machine operate, caliberate, wash itself and after 2 hours of caliberation operate on a sampel. In short, nothing much.

Staying here is not that bad, with the amount of crap spouting out of the mouth of Neoh Hun and everyone else around when they're bored is enough to make me laugh and forget about the time. Haha, another interesting to add is that we've found a shop faster than any conventional fast food, a chinese restaurant which is only 5 minutes drive away. My pork chop rice was out in less than 3 minutes the second time I went there, and it cost only RM4.50, rofl, and it's with extra big rice and the serving the more than what you can get in KL. So happy to find the place.

I'm posting this now in KFC, where free wireless is provided and where it's open for 24 hours. HAHA, and guess what, it's also 5 minutes drive away. ROFL. This weekend we'll be heading to the island. Hahaha.. all is good so far, except for the fact that I don't get to see my peas, sad :(

That's all for now, I'll end this with pictures I've taken in Kepala Batas so far.

Update

Aight, I promised that I'll put something up soon, but I can't due to the influx of busy-ness caused by excessive amount of procrastination I've been oozing out lately. Project to Korea doesn't look in good shape, everyone (me inclusive) thinks that it's down the drain. So that's that, I've yet to explain it to my supervisor, but I hope that he understands.

My schedule this week. Test tomorrow (Tuesday), Wednesday, Thursday. Report due on next Monday, presentation and another test on next Wed. Then another report due the next two weeks. Remember about what I said about procrastination? You should get the idea now.

However so, life has been beautiful. Hope that I live through this 3 weeks and would be able to face the people that I owe and explanation (Project supervisor), study like mad the following 2 weeks for study week, and another 2 more weeks of finals, and finally spent time back home in Klang. That is if I fail/don't want to take up my industry training this semester. Meh..

This is it, need to hit the books again. Didn't skip lab at 2 for nothing. Haha.

Notice.

Hello dear visitors,

I'd like to apologize for the lack of updates lately due to the fact that, I, Chin Shenyang has persoanally spilled coke on his beloved laptop and is now blogging from his friend's laptop without his knowledge. I'd also like to welcome to the new readers that have found my page through Peas and hope that you find whatever you've been finding.

For the "regulars", well... I'll see if I can spare sometime to update on things that has been happening. 2008 started with a bang, and yes, there's lots of bangs from the fried motherboard, to my fried PSP. I wonder what's next. Stay tune for the next post.

P/S: Fuck. Just realised there only has been 2 post for the past 3 months. Rofl. Will update soon. Hahahaha.

Christmas and Countdown! Part 1. 68 Pics!!

Aight, here we go. Christmas in Sg. Wang.

Took a train to KL Sentral at about 4, arrived at 5. I thought that it would be fun exploring kl while making my way to Imbi, I always had the thought of traveling around kl on foot for quite a while, since that I was there, and still had time, why not? Got a map off 7-11 and started my way. But the whether wasn't being kind.

IMG_6286

IMG_6291

Being smart, I thought of following the monorail line, making it all the way in Imbi, I'd never get lost, I told myself. So I followed the Tun Sambathan line, trying to get to the Maharajelela Station. I rested a while, got myself a teh tark and really looked in the map, so that I wouldn't get lost. Then it rained. -__-

IMG_6297

IMG_6304

Waited out for the rain till 6pm, took a couple pictures of the temple, and suspicious looking shops =P. I continued to trace along the monorail, no way I'd get lost right? Wrong. I walk and walk, until I reach KL Sentral again.

...

Sad right, I know. Cause I traced the wrong rail. Rofl. The monorail heading to Maharajalela went through some small roads. Not taking the risk, common sense told me to stay off small roads whenever possible, it is then I saw the "monorail" near the highways, which I followed back to Sentral.

Bad start.

So I traced back where I thought I saw the 2 rails connecting, and decided that I'd go without the rails trusting my map and directions on the road, looking out for Jalan Maharajalela which leads to Jalan Hang Tuah which leads to Jalam Imbi. Settle.

Started walking again, when I saw this aunty walking alone under a bride, it was only me and her. She looked back, saw me, and sidestep. LOL. I chuckled a little, which she then grab onto her handbag even more. ROFL. Not wanting to scare the old lady, I slowly walked pass her, not making any sudden movements that would end up making me a victim instead. Haha.. I was told by my friend that I've got quite a fierce face, but at the same time, people say that I look like a kid. Maybe the eyebrow piercing gave off the wrong message. Haha..

I made my way slowly, taking my time, even though I was losing daylight. Finally, a landmark. The Old Railway Station. I was relieved that I saw something familiar, having traveling on foot meaning that you can rest and take pictures whenever you wanted. So I went exploring in the station. There were painters with their work of art, I'm no critic, but the paintings looked pleasing to me. There was also a small museum about the history of the railway station, which was when I saw this.

IMG_6307

IMG_6309

After satisfying my urge to take pictures I went on my way, which was when I discovered that they actually converted part of the station into a hotel. Not a bad idea. There was even a filming crew nearby.

IMG_6323

After taking more pictures outside the station, it was already 7pm. Not taking any chances trying to make my way around KL at night, I asked one of the DBKL officers how to get to imbi, he kindly showed me that way and then ask,

"you jalan kaki ke?"
"ye"
"Singaporean?"
"Haha.. tak, local, saje nak jalan."

Rofl, it's probably the camera on my shoulder that gave him the impression that I was a tourist. At this point, the map was practically useless, cause I didn't know where the fuck I was anyway. I slowly made my way until I reach Dataran Merdeka. Took pictures and went on my way. Took more pictures after I left Dataran Merdeka. Passed by the Bar Council.

IMG_6326

IMG_6328

IMG_6331

IMG_6343

IMG_6344

After walking more about an hour, I was this close to the KL tower.

IMG_6347

Then I walked futher, passing by Petaling Street and Pudu. After walking ANOTHER hour, I reached times square at 8pm. Haha.. Most of you reading this by now would swear that I'm crazy. Keep reading, I'm only halfway through.. you'll find out that I stayed in KL for the entire night.. not in any rooms. ROFL.

IMG_6349

So I had my dinner, and rested my legs after walking for a couple of hours. Took more pictures in times square. I met Adam, my coursemate, who was with the choir gang that were in times square too. Not wanting to tag along them, cause they'll be screaming at me if they found out that I walked for that long, and it'll disturb my photo taking session. I went on on my own.

IMG_6360

IMG_6372

IMG_6362

IMG_6366

I made it to Sg. Wang at 9pm. Which means I rested for a whooping total of 45 minutes at max. Hahaha.. There were people selling snow sprays, I thought that I didn't need any, cause I brought one bottle with me that I bought from Kar Hseng. Hehe.. I was wrong.

IMG_6376

IMG_6375

After a little scouting where would the action would be, I settled at the corner of Sg. Wang and BB Plaza, already there were people waiting at the stairs waiting for something to happen. There was even a tv crew. Then someone sprayed snow spray at the crew, this marks the beginning. 2 kids then started their own skirmish, and the police looked on silently.

IMG_6382

IMG_6389

It was only 9.30, so I left the place and went off elsewhere to take some pictures.

When I came back.. let the pictures do the talking.

IMG_6400

IMG_6401

IMG_6403

IMG_6404

People were already rallying, forming alliances and looking out for potential victims. Here we see one group and another group forming. There was a silence, I knew that it was the silence before the storm.. then it came. Which then the police broke them up. Haha..

IMG_6429

After the police left, all hell broke loose. I was with a group of foreigners which I later found out that they were was studying in MMU, Cyberjaya. Standing out of the crowd with a camera makes you susceptible to snow sprays, I had to have an ally. So I kept my camera, taking pictures occasionally, took my spray out and join the fun! But I ran out after a couple of minutes, so I bought myself another FOUR bottles. WAHAHA..

IMG_6417

IMG_6425

Alots of different things happened here. I'll just let the pictures do the talking.

Aight? That was 12am. I was still there until 1.45am taking pictures of the people that were still around.

IMG_6528

Then I walked around the Bukit Bintang area, where there were people asking me,

"zhao xiao jie ma? (looking for lady?)"

Haha.. And there was this bugger who said,

"Don't be like this.. Lemme show you the ladies, see first la.. come come.."
Of course I kindly said no and went on my way, then he said,
"Have a Happy Christmas ma.."

ROFL.. Yeah, I'll be screwing a Chinese national that I've never seen before in my life when the true meaning of Christmas is to celebrate the birth of Christ. Merry Christmas to you too, uncle. But I didn't say that to him, cause I was traveling alone. Haha.. Didn't want to invite any unnecessary trouble.

After satisfying my *ahem*.. picture taking addiction. Oh oh oh.. almost forgot to add something,
on my way back to Sg. Wang from the Bukit Bintang area, there was a group of 3 girls walking pass the street. There was this one chick that was quite tall and hot, wearing a black dress that exposed half of her boobies. I didn't take out my camera, cause it was too dark, and using a flash would attract attention. After washing my eyes, I kept my eyes back on the sidewalk, which was when I wondered, wouldn't her dress slip off? So I turned to the streets and saw her again,

"That's her.. hmm... wait, what's that? Titties? OMFG!"

ROFL.. her dress did slip down a little, which she manage to say, "Ohhh.." and pulled it back up. The drivers on the jam street got the best view. Lucky bastards.

I went on my way again, got myself some supper, it was already 2.30am. Then I went off to times square again to rest. After a hour or so, the cleaners told me that I couldn't stay there or something, so I left and rested elsewhere in times square. After a while the security guards came and told us (me and people resting there) that we couldn't stay there too. So we made our way to the Imbi station.

IMG_6533

IMG_6534

I made my resting place on the stairs on the station, no sleeping, cause I had to be awake so that no one tries to do anything funny. But something funny did happen but not to me, at about 5am, I took a picture of it. I didn't realize what I took until before I took the first train back at 6am. Haha.. I'll let this last picture end my adventure in KL for Christmas Countdown. Genting's New Year Countdown is next! God.. It's good to be a guy. I love adventures.
